Often, yes. Sometimes the right answer is a better site and two tools connected properly. We say so, and build the bigger system only when the work actually needs it.
Systems and sites for Medfield's Route 27 businesses
Route 27 and the IE District
Does Kief Studio work in Medfield? Yes.
Medfield is mostly residential, and the town is trying to change the balance. In 2023 its Select Board set a goal of drawing 10% of tax revenue from non-residential sources, and in 2024 MAPC wrote a vision and zoning plan for the Industrial Extensive District along Route 27 and North Meadows Road. Kief Studio works with the kind of company that district holds and wants more of. We build the website, the job or order system and the integrations between tools, then host it on LTFI from our studio in Shrewsbury.
The plan describes the district honestly as a mix: large multi-tenant buildings, standalone businesses on big lots, and small clusters of contractors and service firms, with a vision of small and medium manufacturers and research and development work. Businesses that size rarely have anyone in-house for software. A tidy site that brings in work and one system for jobs, stock and scheduling tend to matter more to them than anything fancier.
