Security architecture review

Protect

Fix the design that keeps creating the same findings.

A security architecture review is a close look at how your systems are designed: how they are segmented, who can reach what, how data moves, and where third parties connect. It is for teams that keep fixing the same class of finding because the design itself creates it. Kief Studio reads the design, follows the data, shows what an attacker could do with it, and helps you change the drawing.

What we do

  1. Read the current design: networks, identity, encryption, and data flows.
  2. Map third-party and vendor connections and what each one can reach.
  3. Show which design choices keep producing findings and what an attacker gains from them.
  4. Recommend design changes in order of risk, and help make them.

Who it is for

Teams that pass scans and still see repeat findings, companies planning a major build or migration, and anyone adding a vendor with deep access.

When to look elsewhere

A checklist review that changes nothing about the design. If the drawing stays wrong, the findings come back.

What we can stand behind

  • Security is a byproduct of good engineering.
  • No shared hosting. Dedicated infrastructure.
  • Founded 2022. Operating together since 2012.

Security architecture review: common questions

  • Can we just patch the findings instead?
Patches fix instances. If the design creates the weakness, the same finding comes back with the next change. An architecture review fixes the cause, so the patches stop repeating.
  • Is this the same as a penetration test?
No. A pen test proves what an attacker can do today. An architecture review looks at the design that decides what an attacker will be able to do next time.
  • When is the best time for a review?
Before a major build, migration, or new vendor integration, when changing the design is cheapest. After a breach or a string of repeat findings is the next best time.
